The Kohai team consists of committed professionals with a wide range of experience in English, computers, math and sciences, French, fine arts, theatre, physical education, early childhood education, and family therapy.
Their expertise in many areas is a valuable asset. As a team they continually work together to develop the philosophy, curriculum, and teaching strategies that make Kohai what it is.

Principal
Barbara Brown B.Ed.
Barbara has a B.Ed. in Education and Sociology from the University of London in England. Barbara participated in the Behavioural Intervention Certificate Course at the Geneva Centre. Additionally, she attended the ABA advanced supervisor training course at the Behaviour Institute. Barbara has also completed PECS training and is a member of ONTABA.
Wendy Michalowicz B.A., B.Ed.
Wendy has a B.A. and a B.Ed. in Phys.Ed. and Geography from U of T. Wendy attended the TEACCH summer program at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Wendy has also studied American Sign Language extensively at the Canadian Hearing Society and at Gallaudet University for the deaf in Washington D.C.
Gord Queen B.Sc., B.Ed.
Gord has a B.Sc. from McMaster University and a B.Ed. with special qualifications in Math and Special Education. Additionally, Gord served on the board of OFIS for 6 years. Gord is one of the founders of Kohai.
Consultant
Simone Lebrun M.A., B.Ed.
Simone's training is in behavioural intervention and family therapy. Simone has given many lectures, workshops and conference and presently acts as a consultant to programmes and families in France. Simone founded Kohai.
